Scientology Volunteer Ministers Bring the Yellow Tent to Milan

MILAN, Italy — 22 January 2026 — Scientology’s Volunteer Ministers have brought their well-known Yellow Tent news europe war in Milan, creating a visible meeting point for practical help and one-to-one guidance, alongside everyday “Tools for Life” that can be applied to real-life difficulties. Previously deployed in cities including New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn straightforward methods for communication breakdowns, workplace stress and conflict resolution, as well as practical help during difficult moments.

Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory “Tools for Life” courses covering communication, relationships, study skills, workplace challenges and conflict resolution. The approach is personal and practical: identify the issue and offer a step that can be used immediately.

In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake and the 2012 Emilia-Romagna earthquakes, and have also assisted during recent floods in Marche (2022) and Romagna (2023), working alongside local institutions and civil protection actors to help remove mud and debris and restore access.

In Milan, activity expanded during the COVID-19 period with sanitisation initiatives and distribution of basic necessities. Organisers say volunteers then continued with neighbourhood support, including more than 160 consecutive Saturdays of clean-up and assistance, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as supporting aid shipments to Ukraine.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Across Europe, communities grow stronger when citizens are equipped to help each other in practical ways—calmly, respectfully and without prejudice. Their work reflects a civic principle: support starts with listening and providing tools that help people regain the ability to act and contribute.”
